Open letter to the LNC

Greetings

Your post on X “delete all IP” got a huge response. As the #1 patent prosecutor in the country for 15 years and an undefeated patent litigator for another 10 years, the LNC shows a shallow understanding of 400 years of common law. I would love that debate.

I realize LP wants to reduce government but IP is a significant driver of capitalism and creative technology advancement that must continue or all of humanity will collapse.

This is symptomatic of absolutism permeating LP thought. Absolutism never works, can’t attract the general electorate and gives the LP a bad image.

Inventors and writers life long works must be protected as the quintessential driver of capitalism, free expression and creativity. Property theft should not be promoted by the LNC.
